A series of pre‐construction and post‐construction surveys have been undertaken within and adjacent to the Lynn and Inner Dowsing (LID) wind farms in order to meet the requirements outlined within FEPA licences 31792/10/1 and 31814/10/2 for the Lynn and Inner Dowsing wind farms respectively.
The third year post‐construction surveys (otter & beam, shrimp trawl, potting and longlining) as far as practicably possible, replicated that of the first (August 2009 to July 2010) and second years postconstruction (August 2010 to June 2011) and pre‐construction surveys (August 2004 to July 2005).
During the third year of post‐construction, a total of 22 surveys were undertaken in the area related to the Lynn and Inner Dowsing Offshore Wind Farms, these comprised of; 4 otter and beam trawls, 6 shrimp trawls, 6 potting trips and 6 longlining trips. A series of analyses have been carried out on the fish survey data in order to detect any changes in the recorded fish communities in the vicinity of the wind farms over the post‐construction period, compared with the pre‐construction baseline.
Although the results of the longlining surveys were not analysed by Brown & May Marine Ltd., as such they are not included in the following report, the data is included in the data pack
