Summary

Marine Conservation Zones (MCZs) are designated under the Marine and Coastal Access Act 2009. MCZs protect nationally important marine wildlife, habitats, geology and geomorphology in English inshore waters and offshore waters next to England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
