Summary

Gardline Geosurvey undertook a geophysical and hydrographic survey as part of the Triton Knoll offshore wind farm development on behalf of NPower Renewables Ltd. The objectives of the survey were threefold. To investigate the proposed cable route between the landfall and the site of the Triton Knoll wind farm adjacent to Silver Pit. To extend the geological and hydrographical information to the north and west of the site termed 'Enhanced Site Area'. Finally, to conduct a survey over the resource areas. The investigation utilised single beam and multi-beam echo sounders, sidescan sonar, boomer and magnetometer equipment. In addition, grab equipment was used as part of the environmental investigations and to confirm seabed sediments. Note the scope of this series is the Enhanced Site Area only.
