Report number: Report08P21.This is a desk based study to identify the potential risks involved with noise produced during dredging operations with particular emphasis on marine aggregate extraction. The study aimed to analyse key issues such as dredging noise vs. hearing in marine life, identify areas with high ecological sensitivity with regards to aggregate dredging, outline open questions and suggest a methodology for a follow up study.
