The rock is folded with many crevices, fissures and caves. There are rock gullies running out to sea which are filled with sand. Fucoids were low in abundance. Gibbula umbilicalis and Littorina littorea were abundant. Lithothamnian / Lithophyllum and Corallina spp were common and many Actina fragacea were found. Sabellaria was found bonding many lowershore boulders to the bedrock. The rocks were mobile and well rounded, showing little life. Few Anemonia spp. were found . Ulva lactuca was common down to LWST.

There is some freshwater runoff. Two unidentified seals were seen.

Ulva has been given a nominal abundance value of Present for this record as in Arev it had no abundance value. Rocky ridges mostly <0.5 - 1.5 with a few larger to 3/4 m running down the shore. The angle of layering varied, producing varied habitats. The freshwater runoff was pronounced with Ulva to LWNT. Poor species diversity due, probably, to high exposure and swept/scoured gullies. A few interesting spp. many (50%) Strawberry beadlets, few Anemonia. Much corallina and Lithothamnian/Litho[hyllum spp The area is backed by shingle beach and high cliffs. There are boulders in the gullies and pools which are fixed (often by Sabellaria) or mobile(many overturned very often). The lower shore is sand with fewer ridges. Sabellaria is in profusion.
