(North-east Cornwall) Point 50.6740087666504 -4.76971054524791 WGS84 738997 Cradoscrupocellaria reptans FALSE P Not set FALSE Bryozoa has been removed from the species list for this record as more specific related taxa were also present, these are now marked as characterising. A hard bedrock seabed with the rock strata dipping slightly to the north. Differential erosion provided open gullies with short cliffs although for the most part the surface was horizontal. There was a thin covering of sand overall. A few algae were present on the prominent upward facing surfaces, whilst the animal populations were very mixed. Bryozoans of various species were dominant on the horizontal surfaces but even more so on the small cliffs.

(North-east Cornwall) Point 50.8853586253217 -4.57463282331857 WGS84 738997 Cradoscrupocellaria reptans FALSE F Not set FALSE Foliose brown algae, Foliose red algae has been given a nominal abundance value of Present for this record as in Arev it had no abundance value. The substratum was slate butresses up to 5m high, extending seawards. Between these was clean sand with some large boulders and rock outcrops. The zonation of algae and animals on the vertical walls was related to depth, (emersion) and sand scour at the base. Foliose algae with some young kelps occurred between +1.8 and -1m, below which some scour tolerant animal species were present.

A bedrock area which was broken by open gullies containing sand, shell fragments and small stones. The vertical surfaces in these gullies were very short and scoured, and most of the animal species were on the upper surfaces with the algae. There was a covering of sand on the rocks. Overall the habitat was fairly homogeneous with a 1 to 2% cover of algae, including red filamentous species which were mixed with the bryozoan undergrowth. Bryozoans were dominant along with a wide variety of sponge species.

At depths of -5m and below, a fairly wide variety of animal species was also found.
