Upper surfaces barnacle / limpet dominated with good zonation of fucoids and occasional turfs of Laurencia pinnatifida towards the lower eulittoral. |

Large boulders on sand with occasional lowlying bedrock outcrops. Bedrock sand scoured with Audouinella sp and Gracilaria verrucosa. Boulders with a dense cover of Mytilus edulis, Balanus perforatus and Fucus serratus. Red algae sparse with little diversity. Overhangs were rich and were recorded separately. Boulders further into the estuary mouth were dominated by Enteromorpha spp, Ulva sp and Porphyra sp. |
