Also patches of Laurencia pinnatifida turf and a few small deep rockpools with Laminaria digitata, coralline crusts and Bryopsis plumosa.

Much of the area was flooded with water running off the upper shore and formed several large but mainly shallow pools with dense Calliblepharis ciliata. Kelps and Fucus serratus covered the boulder tops and the underboulders had a rich mixture of sponges, ascidians and other fauna including porcellain crabs and Berthella plumula.
