Algae were characterised by Cryptopleura ramosa, Plocamium cartilagineum and Apoglossum ruscifolium. Between the algae were sponges, predominantly Esperiopsis fucorum and Haliclona viscosa, bryozoan turf and tunicates.

Horizontal surfaces were dominated by a dense turf of bryozoans and hydroids in a mosaic with a variety of encrusting sponges. Vertical faces that experienced accelerated tidal streams had dense Dendrodoa grossularia and Tubularia indivisa. A wide variety of encrusting and erect sponges made this site interesting.

The turf was dominated by Aglaophenia pluma, Alcyonidium diaphinum, Polyclinum aurantium, erect sponges, Balanus crenatus, Caryophyllia smithii and bryozoan crusts. A very rich site for sponges which would benefit from a more detailed study.

Bryozoan, sponge and barnacle cover was moderate, although not diverse. Aslia lefevrei occurred in abundance, in most boulder holes.
