The cabinet is stored at the MBA library, The Hoe, Plymouth. During the study two transects were taken - a north line and a south line. Species were listed as being on either of these two lines. Data for the two lines has been combined as the exact location of the lines is unknown. A central grid reference for Renney Rocks has been estimated. There were several species which could not be found on the database and hence only the genus has been entered: Red algae; Catenella repens, Gymnogongrus norvegicus, Hildenbrandia prototpus, Lithophyllum pustulatum, Callithamnion brodiaei, Polysiphonia urleczata, Goniotrichum cornu-cerui. Green algae; Monostroma fuscum. Cladophora dalmatica and Cladophora uagabunda were not clearly identified. The red algae Acrochaetium daviesii and Epilithon membranaceum could not be added to the database, nor the genus. Sycon coronatum was also not found on the database.
