Upper areas were dominated by Laminaria hypoborea and Sacchorhiza polyshides. Overhangs showed a good growth of Sponges and populations of Jewel anenomes (Corynactis viridis). The reef had gullies 2-3m wide running E-W. Mobile epifauna included Liocarcinus puber, Trivia arctica and a variety of fish species-Skate, Pollack, Sandeels and Plaice. Echinocardium cordatum was present as were a variety of sponges including Pachasmatia johnstonia. NOTE: Substratum % data are converted from the original substratum 1-3 scoring system.
