Ascophyllum nodosum and Fucus vesiculosis locally distributed. Shore dominated by barnacle/limpet community with Balanus balanoides and Patella vulgata particularly abundant. Chthamalus stellatus present, locally distributed, as is Mytilus edulis. Fauna suggesting stable, finer substrate present - Arenicola marina, Talitrus saltator, Orchestia gammarella. Localised admixtures of sand and/or mud support Corophium volutator and Arenicola marina. Euryhaline species such as Jaera albifrons and Procerodes littoralis present. Littorina saxatilis dominant.
