Sand covered areas were almost completely covered by Audouinella with other occasional sand tolerant algae. Higher bedrock and boulders were dominated by Fucas serratus and Mastocarpus stellatus with an understorey of small reds and super abundant Corallinacaea. Plumaria elegans was common in shaded areas. Under communities were impoverished due to the well embeded boulders. Audouinella patches were well distribuuted througghout the habitat.

Shaded gullies and fissures in the lower reaches supported small red algae and Fucus serratus. Small shallow pools were frequent and recorded seperately. Towards the top of the zone, frequent patches of Licina pygmea held the bivalve Lasaea rubra. Littorinids were recorded as sparse.
