This Business Data Standard (BDS) has been designed to satisfy all Education Skills and Children’s Services (ESCS) business needs to exchange information about generic service order.

This standard can be used to exchange data describing the deliverables produced as a result of delivery of a generic service, where it describes a specific location for the delivery of a generic service offer.

Generic service means: an ESCS service such that the service can be uniquely identified by the service type, and by two parties engaged with the service.

An example of this is:

Exclusion assessment 'service' is identified by the learning provider, the learner and the date of assessment service.

This standard only addresses generic services.

This is version 4.0, it replaces v3.0 of the standard. Version 1.0 was called provider service delivery.

This BDS is intended for use by, for example, ICT procurers, system developers, programmers, data modellers and statisticians.
