A database containing context data about a place (Local Authority), performance data, statistics and some point data (location of schools). In Oct 2009 the data will be accessible via web services (machine to machine) for loading into LSP Performance Management Systems, Local Information Systems, Regional and Sub Regional Observatories.

The Places Database has been discontinued.
