Summary

This is a spatial dataset that describes the geographic extent and location of the UK Biodiversity Action Plan traditional orchard priority habitat in England. For the purpose of the inventory, traditional orchards are defined as sites where at least five fruit trees must be present with no more than 20m between their crown edges. Traditional orchards are managed in a low intensity way with the orchard floor grazed or mown for hay and with little or no chemical input.
