Description of the contract

The Department of Health (Contracting Authority) is to enter into a full re-tender of its management contract for National Clinical Audit and Patient Outcomes Programmes (NCAPOP) and Clinical Outcome Review Programmes (CORP), which ends on 31 March 2013. This programme of work includes the procurement and management of the National Clinical Audit and Patient Outcomes Programme (NCAPOP) and four National Confidential Enquiries as well as centrally led activities to promote and support national and local clinical audit participation and evaluation of services in the NHS. An emerging aspect of this programme is the engagement, development and promotion of audit in social care settings. Small to Medium Enterprises (SMEs) are encouraged to bid for this service.
