Description of the contract

Managing and disposing of property purchased for road infrastructure projects, obtaining best value for the taxpayer from the property portfolio by following Government procedures. Including, but not exclusively: Maintaining and improving the condition of the portfolio - planning, arranging, supervising and paying formaintenance/improvement works. — regular property inspections, — providing an emergency repairs service, — collecting rent and recovering arrears, — managing empty properties, — managing an asbestos plan, — undertaking satisfaction surveys, — equality monitoring and supporting equality action plans supporting wider government housing policy, — providing plans and maintaining electronic mapping of the portfolio, — providing valuation letting and planning advice, — providing accounts and reports as required, — property disposals including valuations and negotiations, — benchmarking against other public and private sector organisations, — work in partnership with the highways agency and its suppliers, — ensuring compliance with legislative requirements
