Description of the contract

The Department of energy and Climate Change (DECC) is looking to update its assumptions for both renewable and non-renewable technologies. There are three Lots within this tender, which are related to updating the below DECC information: 1) Cost of capital / hurdle rates 2) Costs and technical information for renewable technologies 3) Cost and technical information for non-renewable technologies Bidders can choose to cover one, two or all three of these projects, and each proposal will be assessed separately. DECC is open to consortium approaches for the above Lots.

Additional NotesIf you wish to take part in this procurement please see the attached Tender documents attached to this Notice and send your completed Proposal to Steve Baker or Mike Haslam at the address stipulated in the “Who to Contact” section. Any late submissions will not be considered. DECC reserves the right to halt the procurement process and to not award a contract. DECC will not be held liable for recovery of costs from unsuccessful bids if a contract is not awarded. All costs will be borne by the bidding organisations. If a contract is created it will be upon DECC Standard Terms and Conditions, which are available on Contracts Finder. Completed tender submission must be returned by post to DECC, address given at the top of this advertisement, by Midday on Monday 2nd February 2015. We require 4 hard copies (one of which must be signed). Electronic versions of your bids are to be sent after the tender deadline date to Steve Baker, Mike Haslam (Steve.Baker@decc.gsi.gov.uk; Michael.Haslam@decc.gsi.gov.uk; Interviews, if deemed necessary, will be held on either 5th or 6th February, or in week commencing 9th February. Bidders will be notified of this by 5pm on Wednesday 4th February; DECC will aim to give as much notice as possible. If successful and upon contract signature, the supplier is expected to attend a kick-off meeting taking place on 9th February 2015, subject to interviews being completed by the 6th February as intended. The date for project completion is staggered, and set out in the Invitation to Tender.
