Camden Clinical Commissioning Group is seeking external expertise to complete a feasibility study which will inform improvements to the current pathway for mental health crisis care in Camden.

Additional NotesThe objectives for this feasibility study are to; • Provide a robust contextual understanding of the current crisis model of care which includes the perspectives of those who use services, those who support service users and those who need to refer their patients into specialist crisis care services; • Understand processes underway to alleviate current issues/’bottlenecks’; • Map and understand where service ‘gaps’ remain via a ‘deep-dive’ review, supporting the joint commissioners via an independent review to understand the current model of care; • Research models of care that will complement the current local model of care, reflecting guidelines outlined within good practice guidance documents, with particular reference to the London Strategic Clinical Networks Commissioning Standards for Mental Health Crisis Care; • Engage key stakeholders to ensure a proactive, change management approach to service development opportunities; • Provide a detailed analysis with regards to service configuration and innovation, achievability, cost and timelines for implementation. In order to effectively deliver this feasibility study, suppliers will need to be able to demonstrate; • A good understanding of mental health crisis care; • A good knowledge of the national and local crisis care plans and initiatives; • A good knowledge of the roles of a range of organisations providing services for people in crisis; • Experience and sensitivity in working with people who have mental health conditions; • Quantitative and qualitative skills in data analysis; • Experience in assessing need, gap analysis and developing costed models of care; and • Experience and knowledge of service user involvement and co-production. The contract will be for duration of three months.
