Description of the contract

PESP II and KESP are large and complex programmes. The evaluation and research approach has been developed to focus on those areas of the programmes where understanding change and impact are most important to their future direction. The approach will involve a number of studies over several years focusing on both evaluation and research: The purpose of the evaluation and research work are to; test innovative approaches using rigorous methods to enable direct attribution of outcomes and impacts to DFID support which will inform decisions on whether and how to scale-up a community focused intervention Deliver robust, system-wide process evaluation that will underpin results and DFID’s narrative on impact; and contribute to the global evidence base on education.
