Description of the contract

Independence Matters (“the Potential PSM”) delivering a range of adult social care services to 1,400 existing clients launched on 1 November 2013. The Potential PSM is a Community Interest Company (CiC) limited by shares with Norfolk County Council (“the Parent Body) owning 49% and employees of the Potential PSM owning 51% of shares. An initial three year contract - with the potential for a 2 year extension - has been negotiated with the Parent Body to allow for incubation of the new business ahead of fully spinning out. The business has approximately 500 FTE and a predicted turnover of £12.5m The Potential PSM delivers services for older people, adults with learning and physical disabilities and, dementia and mental health problems

Additional NotesTo participate in any possible future procurement which results from this RFP, Potential Providers must first be registered on the Government Procurement Service e-Sourcing Suite. If you have not yet registered on the eSourcing Suite, this can be done online at https://gpsesourcing.cabinetoffice.gov.uk by following the link ‘Register for GPS eSourcing’. Please note that, to register, you must have a valid DUNS number (as provided by Dun and Bradstreet) for the organisation which you are registering, who will be entering into a contract if invited to do so at the Invitation to Tender stage. The Invitation to Tender will be issued on 4 March 2014 and therefore suppliers can register on the e-Sourcing Suite between the issue date of this Contracts Finder advert and the deadline date. The deadline date for receipt of final outstanding requests for clarification will be 25 March 2014 at 16:00hrs It is advised however that Potential Providers register as soon as practically possible in order to receive the Invitation to Tender and have a sufficient amount of time to respond.
