Description of the contract

Independence Matters (“the Potential PSM”) delivering a range of adult social care services to 1,400 existing clients launched on 1 November 2013. The Potential PSM is a Community Interest Company (CiC) limited by shares with Norfolk County Council (“the Parent Body) owning 49% and employees of the Potential PSM owning 51% of shares. An initial three year contract - with the potential for a 2 year extension - has been negotiated with the Parent Body to allow for incubation of the new business ahead of fully spinning out. The business has approximately 500 FTE and a predicted turnover of £12.5m The Potential PSM delivers services for older people, adults with learning and physical disabilities and, dementia and mental health problems
