Description of the contract

DFID will be supporting this technical assistance programme to the Ministry of Federal Affairs and Local Development (MoFALD), with the KEP unit as the primary counterpart. This phase of the TA is designed to run for three years (May 2013 – April 2016). The use of the TA fund will be guided by a technical steering committee (TSC) comprising of representatives of the Government of Nepal, DFID and other stakeholders. The Steering Committee will identify the work required to be delivered by the KEP TA fund and commission the contract the deliver the work identified, as detailed in an agreed annual work plan. The TSC will report to the Government of Nepal’s Social Protection Steering Committee (headed by the Member Secretary, National Planning Commission), which will monitor progress and provide strategic direction.
