Description of the contract
Objectives
The primary objectives of this assistance are:
To support the Government of Punjab to improve access to and the quality of basic education in Pakistan through providing policy and implementation support to the Government in updating and delivering the Education Reform Roadmap.
To directly contribute to key DFID education results for the Punjab of increased enrolment, retention and improved learning outcomes.
To address ‘irreversibility’ of the Roadmap through: (a) building the capacity of Government agencies to lead and deliver the key tasks needed to prepare for the Roadmap stocktakes; (b) establishing a permanent delivery unit in the Chief Minister’s office (subject to agreement and support from Government of Punjab); and (c) addressing structural governance and institutional effectiveness through Roadmap targets and processes .
To continue to share best practice and experience on developing and implementing the Punjab Education Reform Roadmap with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) Education Reform Roadmap team and the TEP program.
