All UK school data API or Web Service

Data request description: 
I am an IT Architect working for the UK Parliament. Currently, I am working on an Education Booking System for the recently opened Parliamentary Education Centre. As part of the project we would need all UK schools (basic) data to validate the schools making a booking. I would ideally like a web service / API which can be electronically queried to get the complete list of all education institutions in UK. Edubase gives only England and Wales data and that too in *.csv format.

Other
School data for England, Wales, Scotland and NI not are available at a single source after the devolution and not stored in a format which can be queries electronically. The data being exposed as a web service or API is far more useful and agile than the current CSV and MS Excel formats. This removes the need for manual tasks of downloading data.

Parliament’s Education Service (PES) works with schools and Members of both Houses to facilitate young people’s engagement with Parliament and democracy. It is a bicameral service which runs an annual programme of school visits to Parliament and a national teacher training and outreach programme. In addition, it manages the bookings and administration processes for Member-sponsored tours on behalf of both Houses. PES sits within the Public Engagement Directorate in the Department of Information Services in the House of Commons.
