Real Time Displays of Energy Use by Government Departments

The PM announced on 14 May that this would be the ‘greenest government ever’ and that, as part of this, central government departments would publish online the real time energy use of their headquarter buildings.

This commitment ensures that government is improving the energy efficiency of its operations as well as providing transparent evidence on progress.  Real time energy displays have been installed in all 19 HQ buildings and No 10.  Most of the real time energy displays provide energy data in half hourly intervals, and are published on departmental websites with a delay of no more than 24 hours.
