As a result of a local technical meetup I decided to delve deeper into the local data provided by Hull City Council. As a self confessed data junkie I wanted to do some analysis of something!. I was hoping for similar access to my own neighbouring council East Riding, but I am awaiting a request via an FOI request to take this further as they only publish via PDF at present. 

This is my initial effort using Tableau (Public edition).

Using tableau will allow anyone to view and if they wish download and extend the basic application. 

I am already working on V2 to incorporate local council bill values, with associated spending breakdown linked to geo mapped housing valuation data, and pounds per person based on ONS population data. 

Apps submitted to data.gov.uk are currently approved for publication on the general level of their context and appropriateness. Whilst we review these on a periodical basis, we do not own responsibility for the regular update and maintenance of these apps. Any queries about individual apps or tools published need to be directed to the originator.
