Results of AquaNet-Mod for projecting the economic burden of the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH) listed diseases across English and Welsh Salmonid industry
The outputs of the Aquaculture Network Disease Model (AquaNet-Mod), predicting the epidemiological and economic burden of viral haemorrhagic septicaemia in English and Welsh salmonid farms under various disease control scenarios. Included are outputs of the AquaNet-Mod from FY22-23. The code for generating these outputs can be found at the `aquanet`_ and `aquanet-mod`_ GitHub repositories. For the summary data, there are .csv files which give the epidemic size, duration and cost for each simulation. For the epidemic size and duration, the files also give an indication as to whether an epidemic died out or timed out. The summary data contains five zipped output sub-files: ( 1.)scenarios - Contains the outputs of disease control scenarios described in Guilder et al. (in prep) and Kennerley et al. (in prep). ( 2.)fishery_cull - Contains the outputs of the baseline disease control scenario, with different proportions of fisheries able to cull. ( 3.)fallow_period - Contains the outputs of the baseline disease control scenario, with different lengths of fallow period. ( 4.)n_sims - Contains the outputs of baseline disease control scenario, with a different number of simulations. Note: doesn’t contain economic data. ( 5.)sensitivity_tests - Contains the outputs of model sensitivity tests described in Guilder et al. (in prep). .. _`aquanet`: https://github.com/CefasRepRes/aquanet .. _`aquanet-mod`: https://github.com/CefasRepRes/aquanet-mod

The salmonid aquaculture network (a network of sites in England and Wales which participate in salmonid aquaculture) is created from live fish movement records from the System for Tracking and Recording Fish and Shellfish database (STARFISH). STARFISH is a database that is used by the Fish health inspectorate (FHI) at cefas to track live fish movements. River network and catchment shapefiles were taken from the Environment Agency. Model parameterisation was from various sources contained within Guilder et al. (in prep) and Kennerley et al. (in prep).
