A recreation area feature which is managed and has a physical boundary (e.g. a car park, play area or building). Vehicle - Purpose built and installed FE asset, or regularly used natural feature, which has management activity and investment (e.g. Car park, lay-by, woodland bays). Visitor area - Purpose built and installed FE asset, which has management activity and investment (e.g. BBQ area, picnic, education, events, arboretum). Sports - Purpose built and installed FE asset (or sub-let), which has management activity and investment (e.g. Archery, bike park, ropes course, GoApe, climbing). Building - Purpose built and installed FE asset, which has management activity and investment. Visitor centre, toilet, cycle hire, catering, shelter, retail outlet. Play - FE area designated for play activities, which has management activity and investment (Deb building, play area, paddling). Accommodation - Purpose built and installed FE asset, which has management activity and investment (e.g. Camp site, cabin site, caravan site, wild camp area). Ponds/Lakes - Natural or man-made feature, which has management activity and investment (Natural, fishing, model boats, duck flighting). Concert - FE area designated for concert activities, which has management activity and investment (Stage, backstage, viewing area). Forester Rec extension was rolled out to FDs in 2010. Since then FDs have been using this to record new rec features and incorporating those prevoiously stored locally.
