Abstract

Experimental data originating from the NERC IRF project entitled "Calcium perovskite: the forgotten mantle phase". Data consists of: - large volume press synchrotron XRD ± ultrasonic velocity measurements (ID06-LVP ESRF) - diamond anvil cell XRD data (I15 Diamond) - Neutron Inelastic scattering data (IN8 ILL) - D111 deformation experiment XRD and imaging from (NE07 PF-AR, KEK)

Lineage

high pressure experiments in the large volume press and/or diamond anvil cell were used to collect crystallographic (and auxiliary) data on the properties of calcium perovskite (both CaSiO3 and CaTiO3 compositions). Raw data consists of XRD diffraction images, X-ray radiographic images, MHz frequency ultrasonic collections. Additionally inelastic neutron scattering of CaTiO3 at ambient pressure and high temperature to probe the acoustic phonon structure of CaPv as a function of its structure distortions.
