Abstract

Sites which do not fulfil the criteria for SSSI or CWS status but have a high conservation value. These sites comprise the best examples of different habitats or are important for a particular species and are assessed on a number of criteria set out in the Ipswich Wildlife Audit 2013.

) Ipswich Borough Council mapping based on survey data from Suffolk Wildlife Trust Trading Ltd: Ecological Consultants. SWT Trading Ltd was commissioned by Ipswich Borough Council in 2012 to carry out a Wildlife Audit of the Borough. It took the form of a Phase 1 (extended) Habitat Survey, which is a standardised system for recording semi-natural vegetation and other wildlife habitats. Site surveys commenced in July 2012 and continued until autumn 2013.
