Diffusion Tubes – nitrogen dioxide levels are monitored using diffusion tubes placed around Ipswich. To increase confidence in the results, duplicate and triplicate tubes are placed at a number of locations to measure precision, and results are bias adjusted at the end of the year to either a local bias adjustment factor or a national factor. Location defined by Easting/Northing.
