WFD Alkalinity interpolation 2007
WFD requires alkalinity information to allow running of classification tools and to allow the typology of waters. Not all sample sites used for WFD purposes had associated alkalinity data. An interpolated alkalinity value layer was therefore created 50m grid of interpolated alkalinityto allow an estimate of alkalinity to be made at unsampled sites. Alkalinity results for a 10 yr period (96-06) were extracted from WIMS. Mean alkalinity was calculated and the mean alkalinity value was interpolated using Inverse Distance Weighting in ArcGIS. Results are as a 50m grid. Attribution statement: © Environment Agency copyright and/or database right 2016. All rights reserved.
