Lineage

Every week during the bathing season (15 May to 30 September 1988-2014), the Environment Agency took samples from coastal and inland designated bathing waters. These samples were analysed against the standards laid out in the 1976 European Bathing Water Directive and published online. This data consists of: bathing water sites, site samples and site sample and annual site compliance from 1988-2014.
