Mineral compositions (WDS-microprobe) of natural zeolites from worldwide localities (NERC grant NE/L002418/1)
This dataset comprises unprocessed microprobe analyses (WDS) of 10-15 natural zeolite samples, using the method of Campbell et al. (2016), and relating to the hypothesis of Campbell et al. (2012). Minerals analysed include stilbite, chabazite, phillipsite and harmotome. Key localities include the Western USA (oregon) and Europe (Germany and Scotland). Published papers and abstracts.

The samples were assembled and prepared for analysis as part of the NERC ‘Security of Supply’ programme (Catalyst Grant NE/L002418/1, PI D. Polya, University of Manchester, 2013-2014). Analyses were undertaken in April-May 2014, and some of these data have been published in Campbell et al. (2016), Min. Mag., open access. Further data have been presented at conferences (6 published abstracts are available). Another full journal article is planned as the final output for the remaining data.
