This is a shapefile of the coastal physiographic feature type 'bay'. The polygons in this shapefile represent the bays found in the UK that are predominately <30m depth. These are the bays used for article 17 reporting.

Shapefile of the physiographic type 'Bay' was extracted from Large Shallow Inlets and Bays shapefile created for article 17 reporting. It should be noted that these definitions are broader than the Annex I definition. This shapefile is of all the bays (<30m depth and <62,000ha) found in the UK. It is taken from LSIB1160 and also includes the bay from the Sealoch and Bay physiographic feature type in LSIB1160.
