Title

Section 106 Agreement Sites

Abstract

Section 106 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 allows a local planning authority to enter into a legally binding agreement or planning obligation with a developer in association with the granting of planning permission. Section 106 agreements are used by the City Council when it is considered that a development will have negative impacts that cannot be dealt with through conditions in the planning permission. Upon accessing this licensed data you will be deemed to have accepted the terms of the Public Sector End User Licence - INSPIRE.

Lineage

This dataset is a combination of Section 106 polygon and point data. The polygon data shows actual sites whilst the point data only showed an approximate location (as not all of the site boundaries were available at the time of creation). The point data was converted to polygon data using a 50m buffer and merged with the polygon dataset to create a single dataset representing the location of sites that have a Section 106 agreement attached. The data represents Section 106 agreements signed between April 1991 to April 2014.
