It would be useful to see data held by councils on road conditions & maintenance schedules e.g. fixing pot-holes. This would let people know when they could expect local roads to be fixed, help them plan journeys and identify authorities with particularly good/bad roads.
To encourage councils and other organisations into fixing life threatening road damage in a timely fashion, create a dataset that shows when the potholes were first reported, their severity and how long it takes or took to repair them.
There are so many roads in the england and wales which are poorly maintained if at all. I would like to be able to search by road name (at worst post code) to see if and which council is liable to maintain the road
