The Internet as the portal to Virtual Model World (VMW)

When the Semantec Web becomes a shared resource of society to process its future, it will have truly come of age. FuturICT is the Flagship socio-technic project to bring this about. Virtual Model World is an enabling toolset and requires a new level of Internet capability. FuturICT is a global Flagship project, run out of Zurich, to research computational socio-geonomics, as the basis for a Flagship project to implement a Virtual Model World to process the dynamics and emergent complexity of society and our World ecology. This artefact that mirrors society will hold it up to scrutiny and be the toolset for engineering the well-being of society and our world ecology, available to everyone.
