RESTful URLs

Hi There
I noticed some useful REST URLs on Jeni's blog, which can be used for retrieving data. Does anyone know whether there is a complete list of REST URLs for accessing linked data? For example, a URL to obtain a list of UK local authorities, a URL to obtain a list of schools within a local authority, etc. If there isn't a list published yet, are there plans to publish such a list in the future?
Kind Regards
Abdul

As long as anyone can download the raw data, in whatever format is available, people can set up (*) their own public-access APIs, or REST services, or provide any other type of access to the data; perhaps also offer alternate formats of the datasets such as SQL dumps, or Microsoft Access databases, both seemingly popular requests here.

Therefore data.gov.uk doesn't have to create those services; merely keep the data available and permit others to redistribute it. I'd prefer that decentralised approach; people can experiment with their own, 'competing' API services and we should see some innovation.

This is actually the sort of area I'm interested in; setting up (free, public, no-signup) data services for others to then make use of, rather than the 'prettier' apps and visualisations that simply deliver data to the public 'end-users'.

Before I proceed with this, however, I hope to clear up some of the legal implications.

(*) I'd like some assurance that we have permission to redistribute the datasets sourced here verbatim, as well as 'derivative databases' that may be translated, adapted, rearranged, modified or in any other way altered versions of what was available here. Currently the data.gov.uk terms don't go into that level of detail.

Don't get me wrong, I think SPARQL is the way to go I'm just curious. If you argue against a REST service, why are you then exposing a SPARQL service?

Therefore data.gov.uk doesn't have to create those services; merely keep the data available and permit others to redistribute it.
