Problems with Legislation.gov.uk html snippets formatting

Hi

I am finding if I just take a legislation.gov.uk html snippet and publish the html code as is, the formatting on my site gets messed up (e.g., the standard right column on the site ends up beneath the node content, footnote annotation links with the legislation are wrongly positioned, etc.,).

However, If I run the legislation.gov.uk html snippet through HTML Tidy at http://services.w3.org/tidy/tidy and use the tidied output (after deleting the head & body tags that adds) then everything is fine.

Should a legislation.gov.uk html snippet need this additional format tidying to work properly?
