Police.uk api ... results via multiple suffix postcodes?
I am trying to put together a application based on an area, which includes multiple postal codes ... by this i mean not detailed level of M1 3HS but rather M1, M2 and M3 for example
Is there currently a way of doing this, can I place multiple calls to the api and concatinate results into one output maybe?
Well firstly you'll need a list of the Postal Code areas. ie, AB PR, LA etc
Which you can get from NPEmap.org.uk
Then download the crime database files (per force), merge them into one database (half a million crimes for December)
Then loop over the crime database with a regular expression to pull out just the postcodes you want for each postal "brick" (grouping by crime type)
Sit back and wait a while......
