Super Output Area mid-year population estimates for England and Wales (experimental)

Population estimates for Lower Layer and Middle Layer Super Output Areas in England and Wales by age and sex. These estimates are consistent with the local authority population estimates. The methodology used to produce the LSOA and MSOA estimates differs to the method used to produce the local authority mid-year estimates, and is subject to further development. In view of this ongoing work, these LSOA and MSOA estimates are published as 'experimental statistics', and are under evaluation.
