The fortnightly fatality and casualty statistics provides the number of UK Military and UK Civilians on Operations in Afghanistan who are; Very seriously injured (VSI), Seriously Injured (SI), admitted to a field hospital under the categories of Wounded in Action (WIA), Diseases or Non Battle injuries (DNBI) and Aeromedically evacuated from theatre due to injury or illness. The fatalities figures presents UK Military and UK Civilians who are Killed in Action (KIA), Died of Wounds (DOW) and those who died of 'Other' causes.
