The percentage of food establishments within the local authority area which are broadly compliant with food law. Broadly Compliant is an outcome measure which the FSA has developed, with local authorities to monitor the effectiveness of the regulatory service relating to food law. It is based on a numerical scoring system which is currently used by food law enforcement officers to assess premises which pose the greatest risk to consumers failing to comply with food law.
