Local Authorities are required under section 251 of the Apprenticeships, Skills, Children and Learning Act 2009 to prepare and submit an education outturn statement (containing details of the actual expenditure and funding of schools and LAs during the financial year) at the end of each financial year. The education outturn statement provides detail on a wide range of expenditure categories and the amounts spent on each category. This also includes information on the latest position on School Revenue Balances.
