mycounciltax.org.uk performs a postcode search on the Valuation Office Agency website and then returns the council tax band for each property in the postcode, alongside the approximate annual council tax charge.

To find this information currently, you have to:
1. Search the Valuation Office Agency website to find which band your property falls into
2. Locate the correct page on your local council's website to find how much they charge for that band in your area
