Protected Zone Plots Additional GB 10K Grid 2014
Survey sites used to confirm the absence/presence of bark beetle species, Pinewood Nematode and Pitch Pine Canker. The PZ plots defined by this set of data reflect a proposed 2 year, annual survey as described. Some of these plots sites may be taken up in the ongoing permanent PZ plot surveys. Additional Temporary PZ plots may be located in response to incidents. Survey undertaken includes visual inspection and destructive sampling and included baited (pheromone lure) log traps. The location of the Survey plots is determined on a risk based approach, positioned in proximity to major timber processing sites, transport hubs (railheads) or points of entry (ports).Spatial data used for the analysis, using FC SCDB and NIWT. Plots set up in early summer 2014, visual surveys and sample collection repeated at 8 week intervals. Count - Number of sites surveyed in grid square Year - Year site was surveyed Attribution statement: Contains OS data © Crown copyright [and database right] [year].
